A fun exercise we may do from time to time (some of you may remember “book biter”) is “Stock Photo Roulette.” I came across these two photos on Unsplash, and I thought we could do two five-minute exercises. One for mood and tone and one for character.

Photo 1: In the medium of your choice, write the story of this image.

Photo 2: Imagine this is the first photo of a dating app profile. Write this person’s profile.

Set your timer, do 5 minutes for each, and get warmed up for whatever creative endeavor you take on for the day!
