I’ve been thinking about non-verbal communication, and how people manage to communicate across language barriers. This week’s prompt will challenge us to tell stories without speaking!

In the medium of your choice, write an interaction between two or more characters in which they must convey something to the other party without dialogue.

Grab a latte, put 10 minutes on the clock, and write!!

I’m watching the new season of Doctor Who (Disney +) and Lovely Runner (선재 업고 튀어) on Viki, a delightful K-drama rom-com that somehow blends my love of music/entertainment set shows, high school romance, AND sports.

I’m reading Fluent Forever by Gabriel Wyner.

I’m listening to “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar, and honestly “6:16 in LA” because Jack Antonoff (who produced this one) willingly entering this drama is so funny to me.

How did the prompt go? This was tough for me! I love to make characters talk, like playing with Barbies, so making them communicate in other ways was brutal. Let me know how it was for you in the comments! See ya next week :)
